In-Person Indoor Gatherings
We have resumed worship in the sanctuary on Sunday mornings at 10 am. The chairs will be set up in rows to allow families to sit together. Please maintain a “three chair distance” between family groups. The rows will be six-feet apart.
We will have hand sanitizer and cloth wipes available in the lobby and on the welcome table inside the sanctuary. An offering will not be taken during the service, there will be a receptacle to receive your offering available as you enter the sanctuary, and as with our outdoor services, there will not be congregational singing.
On Tuesday, July 27, the CDC updated their mask wearing guidelines for individuals who are fully vaccinated. The new guidelines state: “To maximize protection from the Delta variant and prevent possibly spreading it to others, wear a mask indoors in public if you are in an area of substantial or high transmission.” Unfortunately, Pima County is an area of substantial transmission, so in accordance with these guidelines we are asking that everyone wear a mask while in the sanctuary for worship.
While we hoped it would not be this way, we did anticipate that there would be setbacks and challenges along our path to moving past COVID-19, and we will deal with those setbacks and challenges when they appear. As we have shown for over a year now, none of those setbacks and challenges can stop us from fulfilling our mission to “Be the Church.”
Friends, we look forward to being together for worship but we also want to keep everyone safe. Even though many of us have been vaccinated we want to do our best to show visitors and those not vaccinated that we care for their safety and well-being. Please help us display this Love of Neighbor by following these guidelines.
We share in Communion on the first Sunday of every month. Communion elements are provided but you are welcome to bring your own if you wish.
Worship will continue to be livestreamed on Facebook.
